HOW’S the Local Theatre coming along?
We’ve been busy getting in touch with people who might want to use the theatre!
We’re talking to groups in and around Sheffield to see what use they could make of our space. What we want to do with the Local Theatre is to make it a welcoming and useful place for people in Sheffield. We want to do that with theatre, of course, but we also want to involve people in as many ways as possible. If you need somewhere to run yoga classes, want to display your artwork on our walls, are looking for a space for your book club to meet, or anything else, please get in touch!
We’ve been steadily moving through the loan application process with Keyfund, and we’re on track to hear whether we’ve been successful in December.
We’ve got our eye on a property in the Castle Market area, which is where we were hoping to set up shop. We’re not saying exactly where just yet in case things don’t work out!
We’ve got an exciting project lined up for the venue once we’re open. This is another one we can’t announce just yet, but it promises to be a lovely event that’s a great fit with the Local Theatre’s ethos.
