The Local Theatre is a new theatre in Sheffield, and we would like to give you the opportunity to perform at our opening Festival Party!
The Opening Party will take place on Saturday 6th April, where there will be a chance to see the brand new venue, meet other artists and audiences, see the different performances taking place, and be involved in the ever growing arts industry in Sheffield!
What are we looking for?
20 – 30 minute shows from Sheffield/South Yorkshire based artists
This can be an excerpt of a fuller show or finished piece. The main aim of the Opening Night is to give our artists and audiences a chance to see the new venue in all its glory and for artists to perform in this amazing new venue, and help us build a relationship with one another.
Payment
We will be offering each performer / company:
- £30
- A free drink on the night
- An outside eye from our in house team, if you would like it
- Rehearsal space prior to the performance

For example: Opening Party – Lucy McCormick – Triple Threat

- Briefly introduce yourself/any other involved artists
- A description of the show you wish to perform
- Title of performance including duration and number of performers
- Contact Information
- Technical Requirements
If you have more than one show, please send in a separate application for each show.
